Have you seen the meme going around about how all those “nasty women” at the marches last weekend left piles of trash behind? That really pissed me off – it is not correct in the accusation and why the hell does anyone want to bash the women and suggest that the marches caused any trouble? Shame on the person who created that meme and shame on everyone who shares it and helps it spread. You can see the meme and the Snopes report on it here:
Women’s march meme
The Snopes report not entirely accurate, but it is an OK explanation. Any time you are going to gather a large crowd in DC and in most cities, you need a permit. Part of that process usually includes posting a bond and also paying fees for things like extra security, cleanup, parking, etc. Marchers were instructed as to where to leave their signs. The few trash receptacles along the major roads in DC are not meant to hold trash from major events like this. Most days they are filled with trash from just every day tourists.Event organizers pay for a cleanup detail to come pick it up. In DC, it is usually a great source of extra revenue for the National Parks Service.
In the case of the women’s march this past weekend, a faction of that group decided to leaved their posters along the sidewalk in front of the Trump hotel as a protest message. It was deliberate but was covered under the permitting for cleanup.
It wasn’t litter and trash just dropped where they stood like what happens during the 4th of July events or the inauguration. OMG looking at the national mall and sidewalks after those events are over is just totally disgusting. But when you have an impromptu memorial after a tragedy, like they did in Paris, where people bring cards, posters, candles and flowers and pile them in the street or in front of a building – no one calls that litter.
There are so many birthdays in the months of September and October in my close circle of friends and in my ever growing large and extended family. The Libras I can pretty well get along with, the true Libras anyway, but those fucking Virgos are just not the type of people that I really want to spend any amount of time with. Makes it a real challenge at family dinners at times. I’m grateful that the election will be over and done with by the time the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are here. There have been some pretty heated discussions at most of the family get-to-gethers these past several months. These assholes get all uptight and out of control, just fucking nuts it is.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not all into the Zodiac signs, but there is a certain amount of that shit that just really fits to a tee, enough to make most people scratch their heads with wonder. My sister-in-law turns 36 today, September 17th and she is a total Virgo through and through which explains why I don’t go over to my brother’s house very often. We have never gotten along since day one and for no one particular reason. We just don’t mesh, simple as that.
Can you believe that there are over 65 million males right now that are addicted to pornography, at least that is what I heard on the radio this morning on my way in to work. I have gotten very tired of listening to the same shit on all the music radio stations, so I decided to start listening to some or our local talk shows and it has been very interesting and entertaining, to say the least. What with the up and coming election coming up in just a few short months there is a ton of stories that are being aired that are full of scandals and lies.
I stumbled on a talk show in mid stream that really caught my attention and ended up listening to only to discover that it is a Christian radio station, which is something that I have never had any interest in listening to before, I can tell you that. Most of what I have had the chance to listen to there has been all about the election so I have a feeling that when all that bull shit is done and over with I’ll not be as interested in a lot of what they will be discussing, but I’ll still check out and see, what the fuck.
I think it is such a fucking waste the amount of money spent on political campaigns. It is really disgusting when there are people who are going hungry in our own country and the politicians spend so much money on a stupid campaign. if you want to impress me, donate ninety-nine percent of that money to feed the hungry here in America, then ask for my vote. The upper class rich should not be allowed to run for office, because they have no interest what so ever in doing anything real to help those who have less then they do. They care solely for themselves and the other one percent.
They pass laws that are not remotely what the people want, that benefit only them and no one else. If they had to live on social security, they wouldn’t threaten to take it away constantly. They don’t have to, because they made sure they didn’t have to. I believe that everyone of the politicians who voted for acts that were against the constitution should be charged with criminal violation of the constitution and jailed. They are no better than common criminals and deserve to be treated as such. I am tired of watching this country go down hill because of self serving politicians.
I fucking love it. My boy Dale Earnhardt Jr. came in second at this weekends races. I am hoping for a win soon. He has consistently remained in the top ten, usually the top five, throughout the season so far. In points he is number two, right behind Greg Biffle. You have no idea how happy that makes me. He is definitely a fighter and is determined to win big. I am much happier this year with his pit crew and chief. They still need to work a few things out, but they are doing much better than last year.
I got tired of them running out of gas on the last lap last year. I can’t count how many races they could have actually won had they planned better gas wise. It’s irritating to see that over and over again, but not this year. They are just flat on it. His daddy would be very proud of him if he was still alive. I know that he is proud of him where ever he is, watching down on him. I really miss Dale Sr. though. I know that Nascar lost a living legend when that man died, but his son is carrying on tradition and racing with his fathers determination and style.
